Pre-Conference Workshops

2nd International Conference

Preventative Strategies in Clinical Psychology: Preemption and Proaction

Pre Conferences workshop

This year Institute of Clinical Psychology (ICP) Conference 2019 provides an opportunity to deal with one of the most serious challenges faced by the Clinical Psychologists today, i.e., to focus on Prevention of Clinical Psychology (problems rather than cure). In order to ensure a certain degree of uniformity and cohesion we would like to take this opportunity and set up some guidelines for the Pre-conference workshops. The general aim is to share our views with our colleagues and students that how we address the issues of our community. Traditionally, Clinical Psychology has been preoccupied with treating, curing and remedying the psychological problems. We would like to take this opportunity that how we can prevent the human behavior to become abnormal, pathological and even chronic. Before it becomes a serious issue for clinical psychologists we would like to drive this point home as forcefully as we can. We suggest that preconference workshops should also include a touch of preventative approach rather than focusing on cure only. We would like to suggest a following structure to ensure that the theme of the conference is also taken into consideration in the workshops.

Below are the details of Pre conference workshops:
